I used to suffer with neck and shoulder pain. I have always worked in a office. I have spent lots of money on physios and chiropractors with no long benefit. I started pilaters with john 6 years ago and I haven’t needed my physio since. The classes are varied and everyone is so friendly. I no longer suffer with headaches and my sleep is much better. Everyone should do pilates

John has been my pilates instructor for several years now, and I still enjoy his classes as much as when I first joined them. John is a skilled pilates teacher and is supportive of all the class members. He has helped me improve both my core strength and fitness levels. A real bonus is johns sense of humour, which means that I always find the classes welcoming.

In the September I started John’s Pilates class and I started going every week to John’s class. I had been to other classes, but they weren’t right for me. John makes the class fun, they are varied and a laugh plus the other people are really friendly and supportive. Then in the April I was admitted to hospital and had open heart surgery. John regularly sent me supportive messages after he found out I was in hospital. In the June, John gave me a programme of gentle exercises to do at home although I couldn’t return to Pilates until I had recovered fully. Then at the end of July I happily returned to weekly classes. Six months later I was also diagnosed with Osteoporosis of the spine for which Pilates is very good. I now usually attend John’s class twice a week and feel all the better for it. I enjoy the classes although they are often hard work and being part of a great and supportive group of friends. I will be 70 years old in a couple of months and have been going to John’s classes for two and a half years and plan to continue. John is a great Pilates teacher, and it is also very reassuring that he is an ex-paramedic!
